Rade Krunic has revealed that he and the rest of the squad cannot wait to play in the Champions League semi-finals after the ‘great achievement’ of beating Napoli.
Milan secured their spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time since the 2006-07 season as they drew 1-1 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, sealing a 2-1 aggregate victory.
Krunic was interviewed by Milan TV after the game, one in which he put in another fantastic shift in midfield alongside Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer.
“It’s a great achievement for all of us. The work we’ve done in the last few weeks has taken care of things, we’ve all moved forward together. We don’t want to stop. However, today we gave everything on the pitch, we look ahead and await our opponent in the semi-final,” he said.
“I couldn’t wait to play this game, it was difficult to wait. For games of this level we play football and train every day. Obviously we’re happier if we go through.
“Let’s see who we will face in the semi-final. I have always said that I prefer to meet teams in Europe than in Italy. We are aware of our qualities and we can’t wait to play in the semi-final.”
