Krunic says Milan are their own worst enemy amid ‘pressure’ as champions

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Spezia, Rade Krunic spoke to the media about the task. The Bosnian scored in the mid-week clash against Salzburg and has been given the chance from start this time out as well.

Stefano Pioli opted for a ‘tactical’ solution as Krunic started in the No.10 role against Salzburg. It turned out to be a success as the Bosnian added more security to the defence but also a presence in the penalty box, as seen with his goal.

Speaking to DAZN, as cited by MilanNews, Krunic stated that it won’t be an easy game as the pressure is constantly on the champions of Italy. A pressure that is to be expected, though, and which helps fuel the fans.

“Dangers Spezia can create? The main danger is ourselves, the Italian Champions. Each team has an additional strength to try to fight us, so it won’t be easy tonight either. The stadium energises us but also them, but today we just have to win.

“Playing in the tandem? Personally, I feel good, I hope to offer a good performance like all my teammates, with a win it would be better.”

Milan lost their last league game (2-1 against Torino) and need to get back to winning ways to keep up with Napoli. The latter managed to win their game against Atalanta earlier this evening after coming back from behind.
