MN: Recent exploits of Krunic and Rebic show Pioli is maximising squad in title push

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is very much making the most out of his squad in this season finale, who have responded in exactly the right way to his requests.

MilanNews writes how it does not matter who plays more or less and what role they are asked to occupy, because the squad have come together in the hopes of achieving the one big target: winning the Scudetto.

Ante Rebic for example went from slight knee discomfort to coming off the bench against Lazio, Fiorentina and Verona, showing a lot of intensity as well as effective and intelligent movements. The Croatian seems to have finally entered a groove again, and he is a big asset.

Alexis Saelemaekers was also in good form against Hellas Verona on Sunday, which is a positive sign because the Belgian so far this year has been unable to find consistency in performances but has always offered maximum commitment.

The same can be said for Rade Krunic who has been deployed in just about every role this season from defensive midfielder to winger, from attacking midfielder to right-back. Everyone is giving something more for each other, to overcome the many difficulties that have arisen and that will arise, to keep fighting for what would be an incredible target.

  1. Almost everyone was talking about Rebić leaving and we should get another LW but you can’t replace Rebić, there isn’t a single winger that is that aggressive and brings that type of presure to the opponent. And he can score from anywhere when he is in the mood.
