Krunic reflects on ‘perfect week’ for Milan and unavoidable ‘suffering’ in Serie A

By Isak Möller -

Milan continued their winning streak this evening as they managed to beat Monza by the odd goal. Rade Krunic played from start once again and he shared his thoughts on the result after the game.

The Bosnian has played a lot lately due to Ismael Bennacer’s injury, teaming up with Sandro Tonali in the midfield. He was given a 6/10 in our player ratings for what was a decent but too shy performance this evening.

Speaking to DAZN, as cited by SempreMilan.it, Krunic shared his thoughts on his new role and Milan’s success as of late. It was the Rossoneri’s third consecutive clean sheet this evening and the entire team deserves praise for that.

On the win…

“It weighs a lot, after two useful results we wanted to end the week in the best possible way. Monza are a tough and motivated opponent who play good football, it wasn’t easy but we prepared ourselves well.”

On suffering…

“Certainly in Serie A, there are very few games without suffering. No one likes to suffer, but we like to fight together on the pitch, even suffer together for a positive result.”

On his role…

“I feel good, since the match against Inter I’ve played together with Sandro.

On the clean sheet…

“We’re not used to conceding so many goals, it was a difficult period for us. We thought about what to improve and what to work on, and then we changed a few things.”

Moving forward…

“With this victory, we ended a perfect week in terms of points. The bad period is behind us, now let’s look ahead and think about working.”

The next game is against Atalanta and it should be another great one underneath the floodlights at San Siro. It remains to be seen if Bennacer will be back by then, or if Krunic will get the chance once again.

  1. So happy that we have a full week rest so Bennacer, Kjaer, Maignan, Ibra can fully prepared for the Atalanta’s game

Maignan, Kjaer, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo, Alex, Tonali, Bennacer, Diaz, Leao, Ibra would be awesome
