AC Milan and Napoli will face off three times in the next month and it will bring the two best wingers in the league head-to-head in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Rafael Leao.
This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) talks about the battle on the left wing which manned by Leao and Kvaratskhelia. The first face-off will be on Sunday, and then the two legs of the Champions League quarter-final on the 12 and 18 April will follow.
The Portuguese and the Georgian superstars have been major parts in the respective Scudetto campaigns, but they are currently experiencing very different moments in very different seasons.
This is Kvaratskhelia’s year, as he has 12 goals and 10 assists in the league, which become 14 and 14 if we also count the Champions League. Leao on the other hand is struggling more than last year, while Milan also slowed down.
The two have never met, because in the first game of the season Leao was disqualified. It will be an unprecedented show, the one between Kvaratskhelia’s Napoli and Leao’s Milan.
So… Let’s see which of them works/does more for his team. Anyone wanna bet money on it? 😀
