La Provence: Milan battling Man City as Marseille name €40m asking price for star defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are battling Manchester City for the signing of Marseille centre-back Boubacar Kamara, according to a report from France.

It has been well documented by recent reports in the media that Milan are in the market for a new centre-back to become Alessio Romagnoli’s new long-term partner, with Kamara being among the names mentioned.

L’Equipe (via MilanNews) recently reported that Kamara has decided that he does not want to leave Marseille in the next transfer window and instead wants to play in the Champions League next season with the shirt of his favourite club, but that the club could still cash in for the right offer.

According to La Provence (via Calciomercato.com), both Milan and Manchester City are continuing to monitor the situation surrounding the young defender.

However, the Ligue 1 giants have set an asking price of €40million which could make the pursuit a difficult one, but Mateo Musacchio’s departure could help put some money towards.
