L’Arena: Colombo and Baroni want reunion at Hellas Verona but Milan block it

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Lorenzo Colombo is in demand, with two Serie A sides vying to try and secure his signature as per the latest reports.

Colombo spent last season on loan at Lecce where he scored six goals across all competitions and netted the penalty in a win against Monza that ended up securing their position in the top flight for another season.

According to the Verona-based newspaper L’Arena (via PianetaMilan), Hellas Verona want to sign the 21-year-old because Marco Baroni – the coach who had him at Lecce – is pushing to reunite with the striker.

Colombo is apparently keen on the idea of joining the Gialloblu because he believes that his development could continue under Baroni.

However, the Rossoneri have declared the Primavera product non-transferable for the time being. That is because Stefano Pioli is looking to evaluate him in preseason and could include him in the rotations for next season.

  1. Keep him, Hulk can learn a lot from Giroud, we already wasted Cutrone by sending him to England even after his brilliant season. Let’s keep hold of Hulk.

  2. let him go on loan if we sign a striker. if not keep him and make him play not just bench him for 35+ giroud.

  3. Milan dropped the ball last summer by not taking silly money for Pobega. It seems they haven’t learned. Colombo is too slow.

    1. “X is too slow.”

Sick and tired of these video gamers who think pace is everything. Try going out on the pitch to see whether pace really is everything.

  4. Make him the 3rd choice striker. He’ll be important for the team’s CL registration. And I mean Pioli must change a certain attitude and be willing to rotate the square a bit more.
