Leao and Ibrahimovic score as Milan strike later to draw virtual derby with Inter – video

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s late goal meant AC Milan drew 2-2 with city rivals Inter in the first ever official virtual Derby della Madonnina.

Rafael Leao was in charge of the Rossoneri and netted just before half time to give Milan a 1-0 lead, but Inter hit back straight after the break through Romelu Lukaku.

Lautaro Martinez’s strike with just under 15 minutes left looked like giving the Nerazzurri the win before some nice link-up play allowed Ibrahimovic to rifle in a late equaliser. The Swede missed a late chance to win what was an exciting game and a welcome distraction from the current COVID-19 crisis.

After the game, Leao told DAZN: “I feel comfortable with Ibra, both in reality and at PES. With a player with those qualities it is difficult not to feel well.”

The game was set up to help the Fondazione Milan fundraiser effort, for which the link can be found here: www.gofundme.com/f/emergenza-coronavirus-ospedali
