There were some very positive signs from Rafael Leao during last night’s win against Napoli, and the feeling is that a renewal could follow.
Pietro Mazzara writes in his column for MilanNews how the three-man defence was a flash in the pan which impoverished attacking production and put Leao in the position of not being able to perform at his best.
Playing on the left wing again he scored a brace against the league leaders, and after the game he thanked the coach and his team-mates who have been close to him in the two and a half months he went without scoring.
The next few weeks will be important because an agreement over his renewal could come soon. The latest news is that a ‘medium-term extension is expected’ that could allow Milan to still have strength in the negotiation phase and also because Leao, should he leave the Rossoneri for mere economic reasons, does not want to do so on a free transfer.
