Despite being at such a delicate part of the season on the field, negotiations are continuing between AC Milan and Rafael Leao’s entourage away from the pitch.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Leao is first and foremost concentrated on matters on the field, even though he will not start against Bologna tonight as Stefano Pioli has decided to rest virtually everyone in view of the second leg against Napoli.

The Portuguese winger’s head is fixed on getting to the semi-finals of the Champions League and beyond if at all possible, but also on securing a top four finish in the league to ensure the Rossoneri are back next season.
There is positive news on the renewal front, as Leao has confirmed his willingness to stay which is certainly an important starting point but is something which may not be decisive.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are speaking mostly over the phone with people connected to Leao to try and reach an agreement, and Maldini himself spoke positively about the situation before the Napoli game.
The problem – as is well known and has been repeated to exhaustion – is mostly the compensation to be paid to Sporting CP which stands at €19m. Milan are only a spectator, so a lot will depend on Lille.
