Leao describes Scudetto celebrations as ‘the most beautiful thing you can see in football’

Rafael Leao has made some interesting and encouraging comments regarding his feelings towards being an AC Milan player while waiting for developments on his renewal.

Leao was present at the Gran Galà del Calcio 2022 awards last night and he was named in the best XI for Serie A as part of it, and he spoke to reporters as part of the event with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

On the goal that best represents last season: “Tonali’s goal against Lazio was an important moment.”

On Pioli: “He was an important person for me. When I arrived at Milan I was a kid, I didn’t understand the greatness of Milan. He made me an important player. I also thank Paolo and Ricky, today I’m a man.”

On the Milan fans: “The most beautiful thing I have seen is Milano all red and black. It was the most beautiful thing you can see in football.”

On Pioli is on fire: “We all tried (laughs).”

It is of course only fitting that Leao was included in the best XI given that he was officially crowned as the Serie A MVP by the Lega themselves after a season with 11 goals and 8 assists in the league.

Di Marzio reported last night that the father of the Portuguese forward is expected at Casa Milan on Tuesday to discuss some details related to his son’s future and his contract at Milan. He was also present at the event last night.
