After scoring eight goals in the Monza and Dinamo Zagreb game, AC Milan were made to pay for not being clinical during the loss to Torino last night.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that Stefano Pioli was hoping for another decisive performance from Rafael Leao but this time things did not go as everyone hoped as the Portuguese winger had perhaps one of his worst games, so much so that Stefano Pioli replaced him at half-time and put Ante Rebic on in his place.

Leao’s two missed chances ended up weighing heavily, because if he had scored at least one goal, Milan’s game would probably have taken a different turn and now we would be talking about another match and possibly another result.
After those two missed goals Leao has practically disappeared from the field so Pioli decided to bring him off, not that Rebic was really able to assert himself into the game either as the Rossoneri began to chase things.
After the match, the Rossoneri coach explained the substitution as follows: “It was not his best evening, this is evident. I have other players with different characteristics and I have tried to change.”
Milan must immediately forget yesterday’s defeat, just as Leao must put aside the disappointing performance because on Wednesday Red Bull Salzburg arrive for a do-or-die Champions League game.
