Lecce have now officially responded to the uproar that was created earlier when the ticket prices that AC Milan would be charged for the away sector for the upcoming game was announced.
The Curva Sud used a recent home game to unveil a display which appealed to clubs and to the authorities to try and place a cap on the price that can be charged for tickets in the away section, and then earlier today it was revealed that Lecce were planning to charge €60 for the game at the Stadio Via del Mare.
That understandably draw a lot of criticism, not just because of how high the price was set but also because it was way above what they have charged other clubs, including Napoli.
Now, an official statement has been published on US Lecce’s website which corrects what was communicated this morning, and they confirm the price for the away section will be €35.
They put it down to a ‘mere technical error’ in a press release issued by the ticket office that was published with the incorrect price table this morning.
