Legnago 2-1 Milan Futuro: Oddo loses debut to bottom-placed side with 10 men

Things keep going from bad to worse for Milan Futuro despite the change in head coach as they lost to Legnago Salus this afternoon.

As a reminder, the 3-2 defeat against Pescara in the last round of action would spell the end for Daniele Bonera as the head coach. The decision was made to replace him with Massimo Oddo, who made his debut as Futuro manager.

However, things did not go to plan for Oddo and that is despite taking the lead in the 18th minute through Bob Murphy Omoregbe and having a man advantage from the 43rd minute due to Leoncini’s red card.

At the end of the first half Vos gifted the home side the equaliser, which set the tone for what was to come. In the 90th minute, Noah Raveyre gave away a penalty with a reckless exit, which was converted by Bombagi.

Is it a rather sensational defeat that allows Legnago to match Milan Futuro’s points tally and go ahead on the head-to-head record, leaving the Rossoneri in penultimate place.

Direct relegation is now an increasingly real prospect and that would be deemed nothing short of a disaster given the amount of money invested in the project.

  1. What an absolute failure of the management. Futuro to be relegated, first team to miss out on European competition completely, Ac milan women to also have to play relegation playoffs. Redbird may as well sell

  2. Everything starts from the top, they need to sell to an actual sports enthusiast. It doesn’t matter where they are from, they need to care more about trophies than the financial side. They also need to bring back Maldini, tonali and make the club Italian again. Milan is Italian, some trash version of a epl club.
