L’Equipe: Adli could be left out against Marseille as Bordeaux and Milan enter advanced talks

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could well be closing in on a deal for Yacine Adli of Bordeaux as they may choose not to play him tonight, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by L’Equipe (via MilanNews), Adli could start from the bench for tonight’s match against Marseille. The 21-year-old midfielder is now close to transferring to the Rossoneri, with the Gironde club now in ‘advanced contacts’ with the Milan management over a deal.

Signing a new midfielder has become a priority for Milan, especially given that Franck Kessie has sustained a muscle problem while both he and his midfield partner Ismael Bennacer will miss a few games in January due to the African Cup of Nations.

Adli would be a versatile option for Stefano Pioli given his ability to play in a two-man midfield or alternatively as an attacking midfielder. We await team news from the game to confirm or deny the report.
