Lille boss confirms that €60m Milan, Liverpool and Chelsea target is leaving this summer

Lille boss Christophe Galtier has confirmed that reported AC Milan and Napoli target Victor Osimhen will be leaving the club this summer.

Calciomercato.com reported last month that Milan are looking at potential replacements for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and while Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic is the priority, Osimhen is also a player the club are watching.

It has been suggested that the Nigeria international could command a fee of up to €60m this summer after a season in which he bagged 18 goals and six assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.

Mundo Deportivo (via MilanLive) claimed that Milan are not the only team keen on the 21-year-old, as Premier League trio Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are also credited with interest, but they also stated that Napoli look set to win the race.

Now, Lille’s manager Galtier has come out and admitted that both Osimhen and centre-back Gabriel will be moving on from the Ligue 1 side this summer.

“Regarding Victor and Gabriel, yes, I’ve known for a long time that they’re leaving,” he said at a press conference.

“They’re working hard with us in the meantime. We’re working on the players who are currently here and those likely to replace [Victor and Gabriel]. Of course, the club is working to replace him.”
