Lille president confirms Leao sale: “This is a difficult offer to refuse”

Lille president Gerard Lopez has confirmed that Rafael Leao has been sold to AC Milan in an ‘interesting deal’.

The Rossoneri will reportedly pay €30m for the Portugal U21 international, who set to sign a five-year deal and become the club’s third or fourth summer signing – depending on whether Leo Duarte is announced first.

The medical tests are understood to have been taken on Thursday morning, with the player set to sign contracts at Casa Milan to finally formalise his move.

The official announcement is imminent, and now Lopez has seemingly confirmed his departure after just 12 months in Ligue 1.

“This is a difficult offer to refuse for the player, his entourage and also for the club. It is an interesting offer,” he told RMC Sport.
