Lille president reveals there has been ‘no contact’ with PSG over Milan target

By Isak Möller -

The Renato Sanches saga has taken another turn. After it seemed like Paris Saint-Germain had overtaken AC Milan in the race, Lille’s president Olivier Letang has now painted a very different picture.

Milan have been linked with Sanches since the January window, when they made a last-minute attempt to sign him, and the interest has been confirmed. The renewal dilemma of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara hasn’t helped, nor has the competition.

Or is that the case? During a press conference earlier today, as cited by BeFoot, Lille president Letang made it clear that there has been no contact with PSG over Sanches. Nor has the Parisian side submitted any official offer.

Milan, therefore, might still be in pole position for the midfielder unless the Lille president is deliberately lying to the media (which is possible, mind you). It will be very interesting to see what the outcome of the situation will be.

  1. He isn’t worth it, too much of an injury prone player, gets injured way too much for a player as young as he is, only going to get worse as times passes
