Longo: Icardi keen on Milano return as he flirts with AC Milan and Inter

By Isak Möller -

Mauro Icardi has done well since joining the Turkish side Galatasaray but is keen on returning to Milano in the near future. In fact, as a report claims, he has flirted with both AC Milan and Inter.

The 30-year-old joined Galatasaray in the summer of 2022 and was redeemed ahead of this season. In 14 appearances across all competitions this term, he has found the back of the net 12 times, assisting an additional two goals.

His numbers are impressive, but not enough to convince the Milanese clubs. As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Icardi still has a home in Milano and would like to return to the city, flirting with both Milan and Inter.

None of the clubs have responded, though, in the market for other No.9s as things stand. Furthermore, there’s obviously history between Icardi and the two clubs, having managed to upset both sets of fans.

As Longo concludes, perhaps Icardi can convince Juventus to make a new attempt for him.

  1. No to Wanda. The drama that constantly happens with Wanda and Icardi involved at Milan would be a huge negative.

I think Wanda has damaged and offended nearly every team that Icardi has played for, hence the reason why he’s not in one of the bigger leagues.

  2. Rumors need to stop. Him and his family are welcome and very much loved in Istanbul. The dingdongs who are commenting here saying that he is not good enough can also buzz off.

  3. I would take Icardi in a heartbeat. Only stupid fans would reject a striker who is only 30yrs old, have a lot of experience in Serie A and Champions League.

At 30 I would make the investment to sign him since it will be cheap. He is miles better than Giroud, Jovic and Okafor.

I hope this becomes a reality for Milan. We need a clinical striker in January who is still in his prime and I would take Icardi over Teremi who has no Serie A experience.

    1. You lack vision and ambition.. an ex inter player with history of being difficult? A good bargain?
      Nope, nope, nope.
Better off putting our chips on Colombo.
      Icardi earns 6M net btw.

      1. Correct mate, I would rather have us score 10 fewer goals this season then see this guy playing for us, as fans we should also have standards in what player we want to see in the colors of Milan. I would rather have Greenwood over him.

  4. Even if he were affordable it’s never good to bring toxicity into a team. Both him and his wife are drama queens. No thanks.
