Longo: Milan send counter-offer as Besiktas submit first bid for Messias

By Isak Möller -

Junior Messias has attracted the interest of a few clubs on the market and most recently Besiktas, who now are pushing for the move. In fact, the Turkish side have already been sent a counter-offer.

Earlier today, Anto Vitiello reported that Besiktas have accelerated their pursuit of Messias, keen on securing his services after reaching an agreement to sign Ante Rebic. Some negotiating will have to be done, though.

According to Daniele Longo, Besiktas have made a first offer of €1m for the 32-year-old, whose contract will expire next year. Milan have countered with a figure of €3m as they want to avoid a capital loss and the Turkish side should soon respond.

Messias is currently out with an injury and will not play any more games during the pre-season preparations. It’s possible that he has played his final game for Milan (3-2 loss against Real Madrid), in the words.

This past season, the Brazilian scored six goals and assisted an additional two in all competitions for Milan.

  1. We had a 4M valuation for Messias from Torino and an amazing deal to get Singo and Pioli rejected it???? Horrible. Now we are lucky to get 1M??? We could have unloaded Messias AND add a versatile young attacking player in Singo. The power is going to Pioli’s head

    1. I always saying, pioli got nothing in his head, if this mercato we can add 8-10 new signing then i hope next trnsfer window we could have a better head coach,…. wanna said thanks to mr.pioli but its enough

    2. Messias may still leave for 3 million as that’s what we countered at with regards to Besiktas. I don’t think a move is off for Torino for him though. His choice ultimately. Singo would not be part of it, and he’s viewed more as a RWB.

    3. We already have DCalabria, florenzi nd sometimes kalulu for the position.

Though Dingo a good player will only be a surplus for the Rb where Theo Hanandez still needs a reliable deputy.

Hence, pioli more concerned for LB and a striking finisher who could also get the goals for milan.

    1. do you think italian teams pay for players as english teams ?
you either just clueless about how football work or you have prejudice against turkish people

  2. What’s up with Milan, giving such discounts to these Turkish sides? 0.5 for Rebic, 1 million for Messias?! Are you f***ing kidding me?!?
Send him to another Serie A side for 2, 3 million, anyone will take him! Plus, the man wants to stay in Italy, instead of living in Turkey!
