Longo: Milan set to reward Pobega with pay rise amid recent success

By Isak Möller -

Tommaso Pobega is expected to return to AC Milan this summer as his loan spell at Torino will expire at the end of the month. He won’t just get a spot in the squad, though, but a pay rise is also on the cards.

The young midfielder, who came through the youth ranks at Milan, has impressed in the last two seasons with Spezia and Torino respectively. Therefore, he’s expected to be a part of the Rossoneri’s squad for the 2022/23 season.

According to Daniele Longo, Milan have also drafted a contract for Pobega, which will include a pay rise to reward him for his recent success. The new deadline of the contract will be either 2026 or 2027 and it’s clear that the club believes in him.

Pobega currently earns €500k per year and thus it’s not exactly a surprise that a new contract is in the pipeline. It remains to be seen if the midfielder will get a lot of playing time next season, but it’s likely.
