Given the uncertainty regarding Mike Maignan, AC Milan are monitoring potential replacements and a new name has emerged on their radar, according to a report.
At one point during the summer, or more specifically during the Club World Cup transfer window, Maignan seemed destined to leave Milan for Chelsea. However, a move never materialised and the goalkeeper agreed to stay, reaching an understanding with Max Allegri.

The contract dilemma remains, though, as it will expire next summer. Milan have been monitoring the likes of Elia Caprile (Cagliari) and Zion Suzuki (Parma) to be prepared for all outcomes, but a new name has now emerged as well.
Sporting director Igli Tare and technical director Geoffrey Moncada are working on alternatives to ensure they’re prepared: Cagliari’s Elia Caprile and Parma’s Zion Suzuki are among the candidates. Both will be closely monitored throughout the season.
Restes catches Milan’s attention
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Igli Tare and Geoffrey Moncada have added Guillaume Restes to their list. The 20-year-old currently plays for Toulouse and has received a lot of praise, following a pretty rapid rise to the top.

Milan already have a very good relationship with Restes’ agents, not to mention that the Rossoneri owners RedBird also own Toulouse. The goalkeeper will be monitored for the rest of the season, then a decision will be made in the spring.
One can definitely question the links, however, as Milan already have a very good 20-year-old goalkeeper in the squad, namely Lorenzo Torriani.

For a moment there i thought was Dida in the pic 😅
Me too maybe Dida’s son
Just kidding 😂
There has to be something about Torriani which they don’t like. Probably doesn’t show as much in training sessions as he does in friendlies. Guy is very good with his feet. Probably on par with Maignan, and he makes decent saves. What else is he supposed to do? Hope he doesn’t end up like Plizzari who was supposed to be something special.
We probably need a brave coach to make the call for Torriani just like when Donnaruma got his break. Allegri is all for experience and if Milan qualifies for the UCL he will in all likelihood require an experienced keeper. And this will not adhere well for the development of Torriani
…auger well….
*augur well
LOL!!! Why am I not surprised that Moncada has gone fishing in France? It’s ALWAYS his first choice. ALWAYS. France or Chelsea. 😀 😀 😀
Carneschi/ Muso/ Audero
Anyone in the world bit not Torriani, right ? 😆😆
Always other neighbors apples are better than ours…
Moncada……😂😂😂
Keep signing GK for futuro & primavera and buying random new name for GK in senior team. So what the use futuro & primavera ? Wkwkwk
I would stick with Torriani…He just needs to get more better.
Let’s give Torriani some opportunities. We should take advantage of the talent in house, especially now that Mike Maignan is injured. As an added bonus, he’s Italian. As Ac Milan, we should push for 4 Italian players in our starting lineup. It can’t be that only Gabbia and sometimes Ricci break the starting lineup. Early this season we were supposed to “Italianize” our team, and we only ended up buying Ricci and loaning out Camarda, despite needing a back-up striker.
