MN: Maignan’s return now seemingly imminent – the latest from Milanello

By Oliver Fisher -

More news has emerged suggesting that Mike Maignan could return for Sunday’s game against Sassuolo at San Siro, thus cutting short his recovery times.

MilanNews are now also reporting that the French goalkeeper will seriously try to be available to Stefano Pioli for Sunday’s match at San Siro against the Neroverdi. Of course the training sessions between now and then and the daily feeling will determine the match he comes back for, but the current sensations are positive.

The return of the former Lille star is therefore getting closer after he underwent surgery on his wrist a couple of months ago, with initial expectations that he would miss the rest of the calendar year.

Obviously it goes without saying that Maignan will not be rushed back and instead will only take the field when he is absolutely back at 100% to avoid any risk of doing further damage to his wrist.
