CM: Milan will not take risks with Maignan – he should miss Arsenal and Liverpool games

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is looking forward to the return of Mike Maignan but the club have no intention of rushing his recovery.

Calciomercato.com recall that Maignan has been out for almost three months due to a calf injury that he sustained, and is recovering gradually but is not training with the team yet. The goalkeeper missed the World Cup with his France and Pioli wants prudence.

After the friendly against Lumezzane, it is almost certain that the French goalkeeper will also miss both friendlies in Dubai Arsenal and Liverpool but he should take to the field against PSV Eindhoven at the end of December, bringing an end to 2022 in the right way.

The feeling of the Rossoneri staff is optimistic about returning against Salernitana on 4 January and should the positive signs arrive, Maignan should start that game. Otherwise, Ciprian Tatarusanu is ready and waiting just as he has been for the past 18 months.
