According to MilanNews, there is a ‘paradox’ regarding the renewals because the one that is the least time-sensitive is actually the closest to being completed, and that is Tijjani Reijnders.
Last summer he signed a deal until 2028 but the club would like to reward him after just under a year and a half with an extension to 2030 and a consequent salary adjustment.
The Dutchman himself confirmed that things are on the right track during an interview with Ziggo Sport earlier in the week, and he is expected to net a nice pay rise to see off interest from abroad.
As for other players, the next few months will be crucial to understand the future of captain Davide Calabria who has not yet reached an agreement and whose contract expires at the end of the current season.
Then there are the two Frenchmen: Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez. They share a similar situation in the sense that both expire in 2026 and both are very important to the project.
Regarding the former, the club are optimistic and believe that they will reach an agreement with the goalkeeper. For the full-back, however, it will be necessary to follow the developments, well aware that the club must close the negotiations before the summer otherwise a sale might become possible.
