The second part of the season will see a number of key players return to Stefano Pioli’s disposal and Mike Maignan is among them.
As reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Maignan is getting ever closer to returning. There is one month left until the season resumes, which is why Milan do not want to take risks – especially after a double calf injury.
Milan will therefore welcome back their star between the posts in a week’s time, during the training camp in Dubai from 11 to 20 December. Alexis Saelemaekers, Davide Calabria and Alessandro Florenzi also carry out individual training.
Milan will therefore get not only a great goalkeeper back, but also a leader who knows how to organise a very young defence and he can also be a playmaker of sorts given the level of his distribution.
When the 27-year-old returns he will face off against Salernitana, looking to redeem himself in a game where last season he made an error, and of course having Maignan back along with other players is crucial in the pursuit of Napoli.
