There is a revolution planned for Italian football and AC Milan could have a very important role within that, it seems.
If it wasn’t blatantly clear already, Italian football is desperate for a change. Their omission from the World Cup does not even feel like one anymore, simply because they have not been there in so long. It is an embarrassing place to be in.

As a result, wholesale changes are expected this summer, with the FIGC planning a shakeup and it appears that Milan will play a role within that, directly and indirectly.
Maldini, Allegri and Guardiola
As La Repubblica write, via MilanNews, Giovanni Malagò, the favourite to become the new FIGC president, has already got a plan in place. In an ideal world, he would have Paolo Maldini leading Club Italia. The former defender would be open to a role within the national team set-up, according to previous reports.
In terms of the manager, Massimiliano Allegri is Malagò’s long-standing favourite. Reports linking the Milan manager to the role have slowed recently, but he remains very much in the frame, as does Antonio Conte.
A little more ambitiously, the potential president would consider a move for Pep Guardiola. However, it would potentially be a little too ambitious, considering he currently earns €24 million per season.

How can anyone think Allegri is the way forward for Italy after this season confirmed his last few seasons at Juve showed he no longer has it? He is a brilliant coach, but not to the current generation of players. Italy should hire a foreign coach.
” He is a brilliant coach”
Exactly. Look at the stats from his last 15 Juve-matches and last 8 matches with Milan. If those stats don’t say “a brilliant coach” I don’t know what will… 😀 😀 😀 😀
Look at Guardiolas stats from the first 10 games of the season. You’re a brilliant mo*on, you always come up with more evidence of it. Thank you.
LOL. The Angry Kid is back with his usual mo*on-comments. I think this might be the last time I ever comment on your childish replies. Not worth my time and energy.
Well there goes any hope I had of the Italy team progressing
How come he is still in the frame given the recent result. His team can’t score. Would be worse with Italy given Italy lack of good striker or winger.
