Technical director Paolo Maldini has confirmed that the AC Milan management are looking for the right experiences players to compliment their young core.
Milan’s American owners Elliott Management Corporation have made their intentions clear to focus on a recruitment strategy centered around buying young players with high potential to develop into a core for the future.
However, we have also seen some experience added through the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Simon Kjaer, both of whom are over 30 and have contributed hugely to the recent good run of form.
Maldini spoke to Telefoot and was asked about interest in Marseille winger Florian Thauvin – which he confirmed – but in his words an interesting sentence emerged.
“We think that the solution is mixing experienced players with younger players,” he revealed.
🗣 Paolo Maldini on Florian Thauvin to @telefoot_chaine…
💬 "His contract is ending so from the economic point of view he's very interesting… For sure he's a player we must follow."

Nice news that Maldini & Co are mixing experience & youth, but what about signing the Hungarian midfielder from Salzberg?
Don’t let him slip away for a second time
