AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini has already spoken with Gerry Cardinale about the future under RedBird and received some guarantees.
There has been some hysteria about the fact Maldini has not yet signed a new contract along with sporting director Ricky Massara and chief scout Geoffrey Moncada, but in his latest editorial for MilanNews Franco Ordine has made it clear there is nothing to worry about.
The technical area of the club remain 100% operational and they are implementing the plan that Maldini himself had developed towards the end of the season.
During the meeting with the Cardinale, the former Milan captain received the full mandate and the budget he is able to spend for the summer mercato. Moreover, the mission he received from the American is to improve the quality of the squad and also increase the number (depth) in view of next season.
The 2022-23 campaign should be particularity challenging for a number of reasons, given Milan will play in the league and Champions League on average every three days from mid-August to the end of October in view of the winter World Cup in Qatar.
