CM: The 8+ issues Maldini and Massara will tackle once Investcorp take over

By Oliver Fisher -

Investcorp are expected to finalise their purchase of AC Milan from Elliott Management in the coming days and weeks, with a number of different issues to address.

Calciomercato.com report that unless there are any surprise twists and turns, Milan will soon transfer from American to Middle Eastern ownership and then Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara – whose work has been appreciated by Investcorp – can get to work on the summer business.

The renewals of Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer will be among the first things they tackle once the budget and the stance of the owners becomes clear, while contacts with Lille for Sven Botman and Renato Sanches will intensify.

Many other situations will be the subject at the discussion table over the next few weeks such as extensions with pay rises for Pierre Kalulu and Sandro Tonali, while the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rade Krunic must be deciphered.

There will be talks about how to strengthen the attack and in particular the trident including a new right winger. Many situations are awaiting a step forward.

    1. This is certainly the most pressing need on the pitch. A player that can truly give a pass, create goal scoring chances

  1. We should be getting Dybala for the AMF role, that would save us the transfer fee.. If we’ll be able to get Mahrez, then we are set.. otherwise I guess we’ll be going after Berardi.. and for ST Nkuku is the ideal replacement as can create as well..

    1. Agree. Dybala is a must. We needa seasoned AMF would can double up as a 2nd striker. We need a twin attack. That’s what Milan is lacking but time.
