AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara still believe that the club can sign Renato Sanches from Lille this weekend, a report claims.
As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are effectively waiting on the sidelines to see if they can add the Portuguese midfielder to their ranks.

Milan already have a fee agreed with the Ligue 1 side and have done for some time. The issue is that Sanches knows about the interest from Paris Saint Germain and is holding out for the Ligue 1 champions to make an approach.
They have not actually made an official approach for him yet but have been threatening to do so for many weeks.
Milan can’t compete with PSG when it comes to personal terms for the former Bayern Munich midfielder which is why they effectively have to wait until PSG end their interest before they can sign the player from Lille.

looks like Wijnaldum will leave PSG and ahead to Roma soon, and then I believe they get Sanchez. I hope M&M focus more on the Aston Villa prospect.

Calabri, Gabbia, and Pobega have guaranteed spots as they are the only players who can fill the 4 academy product quota (1 slot remain).
Mirante, Florenzi, Tonali, and Bennacer also have guaranteed spots as they are the only players who can fill the 4 association homegrown quota (none remain).
But of the remaining 21 players (Maignan, Tatarusanu, Tomori, Kalulu, Kjaer, Theo, Balo-Toure, Krunic, Bakayoko, Sanches/new midfielder, Adli, Diaz, CDK, Saelemaekers, Messias, Leao, Rebic, Ibrahimovic, Origi, Giroud, and Lazetic), only 17 can be registered in the non-homegrown quota.

OMG…I miscounted… Bennacer was 20 years old based on birth year when he first arrive in Italy… he is not homegrown… which means Milan is currently over the homegrown limit by 4…
