MN: Maldini and Massara working on three potential January exits – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

Planning is underway regarding the January transfer window but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are not just focusing on new signings, a report claims.

Antonio Vitiello writes in his column for MilanNews that in addition to working on the renewals of Ismael Bennacer and Rafael Leao, the directors will try to thin out the squad by letting players leave who are struggling for playing time.

The first on the list is Tiemoue Bakayoko, who has not been used at all up to now. It will not be easy to secure an exit for him due to the very high salary he receives. He is on a two-year loan from Chelsea, and it could be difficult to find him accommodation, but Milan are already working to end the relationship with the Frenchman prematurely.

The second name in question is that of Yacine Adli, but in this case the playmaker will only leave at the request of the player and his entourage. Milan will not object should Adli wish to gain experience on loan for six months before returning to base in June, but he could also use the month of December to convince Pioli.

There have also been some requests for Marko Lazetic on loan. The 18-year-old Serbian is showing off with his youth national team and has also improved with the Primavera, making his Serie A debut against Cremonese. Requests are arriving and the Rossoneri will evaluate them.
