AC Milan director Paolo Maldini held talks with Theo Hernandez’s agent over the renewal of his contract, according to one journalist.
Theo has been nothing short of sensational for the Rossoneri since his arrival from Real Madrid back in the summer of 2019, establishing himself as one of the best full-backs in the league and now as a France international too.
According to Rudy Galetti, a meeting was held in Madrid between Maldini and Manuel García Quilón, the player’s agent. During the talks there was a formal offer made by the Milan director to extend Theo’s deal and it is worth €4m net per season plus bonuses, with the final green light from the agent awaited.
Renewing the 24-year-old would certainly be a statement given the whispers that the likes of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in landing him, and the pay rise would be a reward for his exploits and status as a leader of the team.
