Alexis Saelemaekers was given an award at Milanello by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara in front of the squad for reaching 100 appearances for AC Milan.
During the 2-0 victory at home against Atalanta on Sunday, Saelemaekers reached the landmark of 100 games with the Rossoneri since joining from Anderlecht. Paolo Maldini presented the award to the Belgian, and amid the speculation that the Belgian could depart this summer he sent a message.
“We are here to celebrate the hundredth appearance of Alexis, who began his adventure with Milan on February 2, 2020 with Verona. A great achievement, which is the beginning of a long career here with us. Bravo Alexis,” he said.
Saelemaekers responded: “Thank you very much, thank you all. This Sunday is the last battle, we hope to win this Scudetto.”

Please don’t sell, we should want players that clearly want to be here, people said the same thing about leao last season and saelemakers is on the same path, a season or 2 from now we will be begging for a renewal, just watch.
The only difference is that Saelemakers is trying really hard and is commited to training since day 1, I think it is nearly impossible he doesn’t become a Milan level player.
I hear your point but I think he still has more to give. He’s young, he’s cheap and he has potential no reason to sell for peanuts especially when Milan don’t need to get thinner at rw. At worst I see him becoming something akin to what Krunic has been this year.
Agree, I know he has his haters and followers, I like to look at a player as to their potential, one more season then decide, reminds me of Tonali a few years back.
No reason to sell him? Pls the guy can’t score, assist or even do the basics like shooting . I can’t wait to see him leave!!!

His demeanor bothers me. But he’s fine in certain situations if his cost is low. Doesn’t have Junior’s instincts.
