Marca: Four factors mean Milan and Arsenal are set to be disappointed in hunt for €60m striker

AC Milan look set to be disappointed in their pursuit of Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, who has an agreement with the LaLiga side.

That is according to Marca, who claim that the player wants to stay with Los Blancos beyond the summer and prove he is capable of making an impact after a disappointing start to life in Spain since his €60m move from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The outlet adds that it will be hard for Real Madrid to sign an elite striker this summer too. Kylian Mbappe of PSG and Erling Haaland of Dortmund are their two preferred choices, but the transfer market and the whole economy of football will be dented by the Coronavirus emergency.

In addition, it must be considered that Jovic cost €60m and for this reason, the club could think of giving him another chance so as not to admit defeat so quickly.

There is a fourth and final important element: Zinedine Zidane. The The French coach has values the Serbia striker highly and could ask the club not to loan him out.

It has also been reported that Arsenal are in the running to land the 22-year-old, but a combination of his desire to stay, Real’s desire to protect their investment, their inability to sign a replacement and Zidane’s will all look set to disappoint any interested club.
