In less than ten minutes, AC Milan will take on Atalanta at the San Siro, looking to extend their unbeaten run and put pressure on Roma. Just three games remain of the season, meaning it’s down to the wire.

The Rossoneri’s sporting director, Ricky Massara, was interviewed by Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it) to speak about various things. In addition to tonight’s game, he was asked about Stefano Pioli’s renewal and Ralf Rangnick.

On Pioli’s confirmation: “Few people believed it, we always believed it, he has done an excellent job, the victories also came, not only after the lockdown but since January. We are very happy, it is a decision, thoughtful, just and deserved.”

On the meeting for Ibra: “We are here every two days, as soon as we have time we will talk seriously. We will talk to him, he is calm, determined and fierce in the games, he is a champion and one can’t ignore him.”

On the market: “We are making evaluations, now we will do them in more depth with the coach, some evaluations have been made but it is still a little early, now let’s focus on our players.”

On the alleged budget that Rangnick would have had: “These are things that will be defined these days, we are convinced that we can set up an even more competitive team, we are trying to return to a virtuous and competitive line, we are confident that we can make the right investments.”

On Atalanta: “We face a difficult team but we are ready to do it in the best way.”
