Mediaset: Chelsea midfielder offers himself to Milan as he wants return

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko offered himself to AC Milan as he wants to return to the club, according to a report.

Bakayoko is a familiar name to Milan as he spent the 2018-19 season on loan at the Rossoneri under Gennaro Gattuso. His contract with Chelsea will expire in 2022 and he now wants to make the right choice for his career.

According to the latest from SportMediaset (via MilanNews), the axis between Milan and Chelsea continues to be very hot and in recent days there has also been a lot of talk about the possibility that Bakayoko rejoins Milan after two years away on loan at Monaco and Napoli.

The broadcaster claims that it was actually the French midfielder who offered himself to the management and not Milan looking for the 26-year-old, but now it seems that reflections are in place as Milan look to complete their midfield department.

  1. If we sign Bakayoko, then our mid back will be fully covered with him, Kessie, Tonali and Bennacer. Calendar will be tight and tough next season because of UCL. And I hope we’re going for Serie A title as well. We need good subs to concrete center. Krunic is not a midback and using him as a sub had cost us too much. Tonali is not 100% ready, Bennacer didn’t recover from his injury. Kessie and Bennacer duo with Baka and Tonali as subs, Tomori-Kjaer duo fullbacks sounds like a true UCL level defense. And Baka is a good friend of Kessie. Probably, it will motivate them both.
