Mediaset: Clear path for Arsenal and PSG as Milan drop out of race for €30m playmaker

AC Milan are no longer interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai in the summer window, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com reported earlier in the month that Szoboszlai is the Rossoneri’s main priority, with contacts between the parties continuing. However, the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are also monitoring the 19-year-old’s situation.

Vito Angele then reported earlier today that the midfielder has given his full availability for a transfer to the San Siro in September and that Rangnick has been in contact with the player for the last few days, reaching an agreement in principle on personal terms.

Over the last few days it has been all change though in Milan’s plans, as Ralf Rangnick will no longer be joining as manager with Stefano Pioli instead signing a two-year extension to his current deal.

According to sportmediaset.it (via MilanNews), Szoboszlai is no longer a target, as Salzburg are demanding €30million and Rangnick’s non-arrival has ended the club’s pursuit.
