Mediaset: Ibrahimovic close to full agreement with Milan; Donnarumma talks delayed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are closing in on being able to announce that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has extended his contract for at least another season, a report claims.

The Swede seemed almost certain to leave up until it was announced that Stefano Pioli will be remaining as head coach with Ralf Rangnick no longer arriving, and now the situation has completely changed.

Ibrahimovic showed what he can give to the side even at the ripe old age of 38 as he netted 10 times in Serie A alone this calendar year, including three times in the final two games.

According to TV station SportMediaset (via MilanNews), the renewal of Ibrahimovic is very close. He is now on vacation on a yacht in Montecarlo, which is Raiola’s headquarters.

Milan have already sent an offer consisting of a fixed base salary of €4.5million per year with a lot of bonuses. It is a matter of details and in the next few days there could be a decisive meeting.

For Donnarumma, the discussion is different. The desire to continue together is there, but Gigio’s contract expires in 2021 therefore at the moment it is not a priority. Discussions could start therefore at the end of the summer.
