AC Milan’s pursuit of striker Olivier Giroud is far from over with Chelsea now seemingly likely to let him go for free, a report claims.
An intriguing situation has developed over the past few days, during which it seemed Giroud was destined to join Milan but then a one-year renewal was triggered by Chelsea, though numerous sources have claimed this was simply a mechanism to ensure they did not lose him on a free to another Premier League side.

According to what SportMediaset are reporting (via MilanNews), Giroud continues to be in the sights of Milan. Despite the recent automatic renewal for another season, in the last few hours some important updates have arrived for the Rossoneri which certainly helps their pursuit.
The source claims that Chelsea are willing to stick to their word to Giroud and his entourage and are now likely to let the French centre-forward go for free.
