Milan have been linked with a bunch of attacking midfielders this summer but despite this, they still haven’t found the right one. James Rodriguez was mentioned a few weeks back and could become a concrete target again.
According to SportMediaset, as cited by MilanNews, Rodriguez is destined to leave Everton this summer and his agent, Jorge Mendes, is working on the exit. And as a result of that, a swap hypothesis with Milan has emerged.

Mendes is also the agent of Rafael Leao and knows that the Rossoneri could part ways with the Portuguese youngster. The idea, therefore, is to set up a swap deal between the clubs, which would see Milan get Rodriguez plus cash.
However, Calciomercato.com reported earlier today that this idea – when proposed by the agent – didn’t exactly get Milan jumping with excitement. The case was the same for Leao, who perhaps would prefer to remain at the club.
