There was a nice surprise for the AC Milan squad yesterday ahead of the friendly against Arsenal as Rafael Leao stopped by at the training camp.
Portugal were knocked out of the World Cup on Saturday by Morocco who will face Theo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud’s France tonight in the second semi-final, and that means it is time for Leao to enjoy a few days off after the tournament.
According to Claudio Raimondi who spoke on SportMediaset (via MilanNews) live from Dubai, before yesterday’s friendly match against Arsenal, Leao showed up at the Rossoneri’s training camp for a quick visit to greet his team-mates.
Now the Portuguese winger will go on vacation for a few days and then return to Milanello to resume training under the orders of Stefano Pioli once the rest of the squad arrive back in Italy. Leao had chosen to spend a couple of days in Qatar with his family after Portugal’s elimination.
Perhaps a prefigure of his final goodbye…🙃
