Mediaset: Milan agree five-year deal with major target and expect to close deal at €15m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still pressing to try and close a deal for Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan in January, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are desperate to add a new centre-back during the upcoming January window given the current injury crisis, and while the likes of Ozan Kabak and Matteo Lovato continue to be linked, it appears Simakan is the most concrete track.

Last week we spoke to journalist Ekrem Konur about the situation, and he confirmed to us that the player has agreed personal terms ahead of a possible move to Milan, with just a fee to be sorted between the teams.

According to the latest from SportMediaset (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri already have an agreement with Simakan on the basis of a five-year contract.

The broadcaster explains also that Strasbourg are asking for at least €18m for the sale of the player, but Milan expects to close at €15m. Contacts continue in the hope of reaching an agreement.
