Mediaset: Milan could land one of €100m striker pair due to Napoli-Real Madrid axis

An opportunity may present itself for AC Milan due to Napoli’s interest in Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, according to a report.

The Rossoneri have been forced into looking for a new striker given the uncertainty surrounding Zlatan Ibrahimovic and whether or not he will sign a one-year extension to prolong his second stint at the club.

So as to not be caught unprepared though, they have drawn up a list of potential centre-forward options, and according to SportMediaset (via MilanLive) there has been an interesting development.

The outlet claims that Napoli are interested in signing Luka Jovic from Real Madrid this summer, with the Serbia international having failed to impress despite the €60m fee Los Blancos paid to sign him from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer.

Jovic could be included as a counterpart in a deal for Napoli star Fabian Ruiz, whom is believed to be a major target for Real.

For Milan this presents a double opportunity: they could try and move for Jovic themselves and beat the competition of the Azzurri, or if Napoli were to win the race then Arkadiusz Milik would be ready to leave, and he is another forward target for Milan – apparently valued at €40m.
