Mediaset: Milan deadlocked in renewal talks over €60m star – Arsenal lead the interested clubs

By Oliver Fisher -

Yet another source has come forward claiming Arsenal are leading the list of clubs hoping to sign Franck Kessie from AC Milan.

According to what SportMediaset (via MilanNews) are reporting, the negotiations between Milan and Kessie over the renewal of the Ivorian midfielder’s contract are ongoing, however the parties are still in a stalemate as there is still a sizeable distance between demand (€6m net per season) and offer (€4m plus bonuses).

Given the excellent season he just had and the potential the former Atalanta man possesses at the age of 24, it is no surprise that the player has ended up in the crosshairs of several English clubs, in particular Arsenal.

Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com) recently reported that Kessie’s market value has now gone up even further after such a brilliant season with the Rossoneri. The paper reported that the 24-year-old now has a market value of €60m, so Milan simply cannot afford to lose him for less given how the Donnarumma and Calhanoglu sagas concluded.

  1. KKKKK any player that goes to Arsenal is like ending the career as a player!Theres more chances of winning titles and being a legend at Milan then they are chances of finishing top 4 in Premiere League with Grayveard Arsenal!

      1. also known as “the Gazidis philosophy” – the best mercenaries are to be found from the South African gangs anyway…just a new type of mercenary I guess
soon enough we’ll have the Milan brand sold for a toilet-paper manufacturing company

  2. Hate to say it, but time to look for a buyer. If there’s a club out there willing and able to pay 20-30m, it’s time to take that an reinvest into a replacement.
