Mediaset: Milan draw up two plans regarding Ibrahimovic – €50m+ signing plausible

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to spend big on a new centre-forward if Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaves, a report claims, but they also have a plan for if he stays.

For several weeks there has been talk of Ibrahimovic’s farewell to Milan at the end of this season, but now something seems to have changed, especially given that Ralf Rangnick will not be arriving and Stefano Pioli will remain as head coach.

Reports have filtered from a number of different outlets claiming that the 38-year-old would be happy to sign a new deal and that talks will get underway soon.

According to SportMediaset (via MilanNews), everything revolves around the future of Ibrahimovic with regards to the attacking department heading into next season.

If the Swede remains, Rafael Leao will become the deputy centre-forward and at that point Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will look for a midfielder who may alternate with Hakan Calhanoglu.

If instead Ibra were to leave, the Rossoneri would go in search of a striker that would cost at least €50million.
