Mediaset: Milan return to Tonali idea – the Rossoneri are trying to overtake Inter

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are firmly in the running to land Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali as Inter are struggling to close a deal, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported recently that the Rossoneri management have been working for months to strengthen the midfield department, adding that Tonali is the number one target  as every single member of the management are in agreement regarding his potential signing.

The same paper reported on Monday that Juventus have also rejoined the race to sign Tonali after the appointment of Andrea Pirlo as head coach, but that Milan’s €25m bid is the only offer to arrive, though it was rejected.

According to what SportMediaset are reporting (via MilanNews), Milan are pressing strongly for Tonali, but Brescia president Massimo Cellino is continuing to ask for €32million plus bonuses to let him go.

Inter are also still chasing the 20-year-old, but they are slow to close the deal and therefore the Rossoneri are ready to take advantage.
