Mediaset: Milan star expected to sign new two-year deal despite Liverpool’s willingness to offer more

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan should not have any problems in securing the renewal of Franck Kessie in the coming weeks, according to a report.

The issue of Kessie’s renewal continues to dominate the media as the Milan management cannot afford to lose another key asset after Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu walked away for free at the end of their contracts, joining Paris Saint-Germain and Inter respectively.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews) reported over the weekend Liverpool have a concrete interest in the Ivorian midfielder and are willing to table a bid worth €8m net per season, despite the fact he is demanding €6m-a-year to sign a new deal.

Now, the same source (via MilanNews) are reporting that there is currently no risk of losing Kessie for Milan. The Rossoneri midfielder could sign a two-year extension in the next few weeks, and then review the offer of a new contract in the future to adjust the salary upwards again.
