Mediaset: Milan to make last attempt for full-back after reaching €20m agreement with Barcelona

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will make one last attempt to sign Junior Firpo from Barcelona before the window ends, according to a report.

Just as it seemed as though the operation was intensifying and heading towards a possible conclusion, several recent reports have suggested that there is no chance of Firpo moving to Milan this month as things stand.

Our correspondent Pietro Balzano Prota told us how Milan are standing still and there does not seem to be the will to go any further. The operation has stopped, and we must see if it reopens or there are evolutions.

According to SportMediaset (via MilanNews), there may well be some movement because Milan are still looking for a deputy to Theo Hernandez. Before eventually moving on to other targets, management will make one last attempt for Firpo in the next few hours.

The agreement with Barcelona for a paid loan with option to buy at €20m is present, but the full-back still needs to be persuaded. Milan expect a response within 48 hours at the latest.
