Mediaset: Pioli, Maldini and Massara hold market meeting – latest on Ibrahimovic and Bakayoko

By Oliver Fisher -

A meeting took place at Milanello between Stefano Pioli, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara to take stock of the market, a report claims.

The first team players (with the exception of a few) and staff reconvened at Milanello on Monday to undergo their COVID-19 tests ahead of Tuesday’s return to training.

According to what SportMediaset are reporting (via MilanNews), the management had their tests and then had a meeting lasting around 20 minutes and involving Pioli, Maldini and Massara to discuss the window.

An update on Zlatan Ibrahimovic was provided, with the outlet stating the agreement for the renewal has not yet been found, but there is optimism that the situation may be unblocked in the next few hours. As a result, Milan do not have a real plan B for the Swede, whose extension remains the top priority.

On the other hand, good news arrives from London on the Tiemoué Bakayoko front, who is increasingly close to returning to the Rossoneri. Chelsea have given the green light to the sale of the Frenchman on loan with option to buy.
